Cara Art & Design was founded by Regina Farrell, who has been active in the fields of design, illustration and ceramics for many years. With over 15 years teaching experience Cara Art & Design Studio is a place where Regina shares her skills and experiences with her students and community.

Who’s teaching at Cara Art Studio?
Meet our team of experienced, enthusiastic and energetic teachers!
Regina Farrell originally trained as a fine art painter and print maker earning a NDAD in Galway, Ireland, before graduating with a BA in Studio art from Lehman College in New York. With experience from the areas of teaching, ceramics, book illustration and professional studio management, Regina Farrell has extensive knowledge and understanding of the needs of art students and professionals alike. Following relocating to New York in 2002, Regina founded Cara Art Studio.
With over 15 years teaching experience, Cara Art Studio is a place where Regina shares her skills and experiences with her students and community. Her wide variety of skills includes drawing, painting, ceramics, illustration and mosaic work. Regina worked in the second level school system in Ireland for many years as well as a professional studio manager. She has been the recipient of several awards and recognitions including a Scholarship at the Art Student’s League of New York, and The Women’s Forum Education Award, and the Brohmer Twins Award. Lucy McGrath: A highly experienced and talented quilt maker, Lucy developed the Adults Quilt-making program at Cara Art Studio, where she teaches a combination of hand and machine worked techniques.
As a well-known and popular local teacher, Lucy also brings her extensive 20 years of teaching experience to the art program for the 5 to 8 year olds. Lucy’s experience includes ceramics, painting and drawing and she also fills the role of Assistant Manager at Cara Art Studio.
Annie Cullen: Annie graduated from Hunter College, New York with a Masters in Education, and Fordham University at Lincoln Center with a BFA in visual arts. She undertook a museum studies program at Harvard University, and as a result, had the pleasure of working with kindergarten through twelfth graders at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, as a museum educator.
Annie Cullen spent two years as an assistant kindergarten teacher at Grace Church School in Brooklyn. Annie also trained at Hunter College, while earning her masters in childhood education (1-6). She taught 1st Grade at Hunter Elementary School. As an Education Coordinator, Annie has contributed to Cara Art Studio by helping to develop the programs for younger children.
