Cara Art Studio quilting classes are designed to teach the fundamental building blocks necessary for beginner quilters, as well as enhancing the knowledge of the advanced quilter. We use traditional methods of hand piecing and hand quilting to achieve a thorough understanding of the craft. Not only do we cater to beginners, but also to intermediate and advanced students.

Our students begin with a simple potholder which when finished results in the quilter having sufficient knowledge to master a full size quilt. We continue with pillows that encompass techniques that include further piecing skills. Each lesson is specifically designed to teach the student a new technique whilst producing a beautiful functional project. Techniques covered include basic design features, fabric choice, template making, piecing tutorials, including curved piecing, appliqué and much more. Our more advanced students are involved in quilt design, and challenging themselves with personally chosen projects with the expert guidance of the teacher.

No supplies are required to begin; everything you need to start your journey in quilt making will be supplied!
